City Pacific Doomben racecourse is known as the Garden Racecourse due to the beautiful gardens and grounds that the Brisbane Turf Club have developed since opening in 1933.
There is an average of 46 race meetings per year consisting of 24 Saturdays, 2 Public Holidays and 20 Midweek meetings.
City Pacific Doomben is situated approximately 7.2 kilometres / 10 minutes from the Brisbane City and 5.5 kilometres / 5 mintes from Brisbane Airport.
The track is a right handed (clockwise) track with a course proper cirumference of 1715 metres. City Pacific Doomben has three chutes, the 1350 metres, 1615 metres and 2200 metres. The length of the straight is 341 metres with the width at the Winning Post 26.4 metres. The track is a turf track and is banked at varying degrees around the course proper. A state of the art drainage system was installed in 1996, which has proven to provide excellent drainage during wet weather periods. The drainage system is continually being updated. City Pacific Doomben employees, on a daily basis, maintan the track and surrounding grounds.
